Summer 2018 Report: A Strong Start to Marquette's "Finance in NY Program"
Dr. Curtis Carter, Marquette Philosophy Professor |
As previously reported, Marquette's new Finance in New York Program completed its first summer. Six students had the opportunity
to live, work and enjoy a variety of Marquette alumni networking events this summer. These
finance students were also immersed in the cultural riches of New York City,
taking the Arts in a Democratic Society offering taught by Dr. Curtis Carter.
Program director, Jeff Germanotta, reported that the student feedback from this
summer’s New York interns was extremely positive. "We offer
our sincere appreciation to the many Marquette alumni
and their employers who helped start Marquette’s Finance in New York
Program in 2018. Dr. Carter was outstanding - his course allowed students to focus on the role of the arts in building a well informed society. I now understand why Marquette students in the Les Aspin Center in Washington DC rave about Dr. Carter's course," he stated.
Here is some of the student feedback:

really enjoyed being with other Marquette students, especially with the housing
….. made my summer more enjoyable….”

the best part was the exposure to various aspects of accounting and
