Successful Beginning to Marquette's Finance in New York Program
Jeff Germanotta (Director of the Finance in NY Program and adjunct instructor in the Applied Investment Management program at Marquette) reported on the program. "I’m very pleased to share the news that Marquette's Finance in New York Program completed its first summer, with six students living, working and enjoying a variety of Marquette alumni networking events."
Marquette’s Finance in New York Program is an exciting new applied-learning opportunity for qualified junior and senior accounting, economics, and finance majors to experience working, learning and living in the world’s financial capital.

Mr. Germanotta continued, "Students were also immersed in the cultural riches of New York City, taking the Arts in a Democratic Society class taught by Dr. Curtis Carter. This inaugural group consisted of two rising juniors and four rising seniors, working at Balyasny, Barclay’s, RBC, Rialto, and SS&C. The internships resulted in multiple offers for full-time employment upon graduation next spring, as well as return internship opportunities next summer. My sincere appreciation to the alumni and employers who made this inaugural summer a success.”
There will be informal sessions about the program delivered during the first week of the fall semester. Mr. Germanotta will be discussing the program with the newest AIM class, as well as visiting other Marquette finance classrooms.
