On Friday, Septemvber 3rd, Ken Evason, CFA (CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Windermere Wealth Advisors) and Pam Evason, CFA, CPA (Vice President of Investment Research and Administration of Windermere Wealth Advisors) attended the AIM student equity pitches. It was their first visit to the AIM program and Dr. Krause, AIM Director, indicated that he is looking forward to working with the father-daughter team from Windermere. He said, "Both Ken and Pam Evason have extensive experience in the investment industry and both are CFAs, therefore they have a very good understanding of our curriculum and our approach to fundamental investment analysis."
The Evason's presented the AIM class with several copies of the book, "Value Investing Today" by Charles Brandes. Krause said, "This is a nice complement to the book given to the AIM program last year by Bill Nasgovitz (Founder, President and Portfolio Manager of Heartland Advisors). He provided the students with a copy of "The Little Book of Value Investing" by Christopher Browne."
Another visitor to the AIM program, Frank Burgess (Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Madison Investment Advisors) also provided each AIM student with copies of the books "Too Big To Fail" by Andrew Ross Sorkin and "In Fed We Trust" by David Wessel. Dr. Krause said, "We greatly appreciate the time the professionals provide to our AIM students and we are especially grateful for the books many of our guests have provided. These are important in taking the students' knowledge beyond the classroom experience."
