Joe Cusick, Director of the Options Industry Council’s Institutional Education & Business Development, Spoke to Students in Dr. Krause’s Alternative Investments Class on Friday, November 9th


 Joe Cusick talked about the OCC - the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization – and options strategies to the finance students in Krause’s  investment classes - and we had lunch at Real Chili!

On Friday, November 9, 2018,  Joe Cusick, a Marquette alumnus and Director of the OIC’s Institutional Education &Business Development at OCC, gave a talk on options strategies. The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization and the foundation for secure markets.

Joseph was previously the Senior Vice President of Education at optionsXpress, where he created and implemented education and media programs to help investors and advisers incorporate options as an equity portfolio management tool.

Prior to Charles Schwab’s acquisition of optionsXpres, Joe lent his market expertise to help launch the firm’s brokersXpress subsidiary, where he developed several risk-sensitive equity allocation and tactical derivative programs. Joseph is also a frequent contributor to various media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Barron’s, CNBC, BNN and Bloomberg. Joseph has Series 4, 7, 63 & 66 licenses.
