Good Turnout for AIM Open House and Equity Presentations on Friday, May 6th

On Friday, May 6, over 20 prospective AIM students attended an open house held in the AIM Room. Dr. David Krause, AIM program director, said, "We had an excellent turnout for our open house held on Friday. The sophomores who attended the event also stayed to watch the four equity presentations that followed. I know they were impressed."

The AIM open house featured a presentation by Dr. Krause that provided background information about the AIM program. Current AIM students were also present to provide their perspectives and answer questions. Krause added, "It looks as if interest in the AIM program continues. I look forward to working with the next group of students - the AIM Class of 2013."

The four equity presentations were delivered by:
  • Brian Brophy (VeriFone Systems, ticker: PAY)
  • Kristina Gergens (Align Technology, ticker: ALGN)
  • Jon Scherwin (Shoe Carnival, ticker: SCVL)
  • Alice Wycklendt (Quality Distribution, ticker: QLTY)
Dr. Krause commented, "We had a standing room only crowd in the AIM Room for the last set of presentations of the semester. The students did a nice job and I believe we had more questions from the floor than any previous AIM meeting since our inception. We also had a good turnout of investment professionals, faculty, and alumni throughout the day. It was a nice way to end the semester."

"The students will be voting upon whether or not to add these stocks to the AIM Fund before they depart for their summer internships. I'm pleased with the quality of the written reports and the oral presentations. The AIM Class of 2012 has upheld the high standards established by previous classes."
