The Annual Spring FMA/AIM Chicago Trip Will Occur This Friday
Dr. David
Krause and the student officers of the Financial Management Association (FMA)
have completed the final plans for the annual Marquette University FMA/AIM Chicago trip.
Dr. Krause and other finance faculty (including Jeff Germanotta and Bill Walker) will be headed to Chicago on Friday, April 29, 2016, accompanying
over 40 Marquette finance majors on the annual spring trip. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors studying finance at Marquette will make the trek to Chicago.
Following
their crack-of-dawn departure from campus on Friday, they hope to arrive at William Blair
& Company (222 West Adams Street, Chicago) and begin their day at 9:00. A
full morning of meetings and activities at William Blair have been planned.
Dr. Krause
said, “We are looking forward to our visit to William Blair & Company – I know the
students are excited to learn about about the firm. Many of our students are
from the Chicago-area and I know they hope to learn more about future career opportunities
at Blair. It should be a great morning.”
Following
this visit the students will proceed to Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting (200
East Randolph Street). Following an overview of Aon Hewitt, the students will
learn about Aon’s approach to investment consulting (from both the research and
traditional consulting views). There will be a panel discussion where the
students will learn about Aon’s college graduate hiring program.
Dr. Krause
stated, “We have had excellent success in placing graduates with AHIC and are delighted
to spend the afternoon there. It will be beneficial for the students to hear
from recent Marquette graduates and to understand the campus recruiting process. I'm confident this will be another successful FMA/AIM visit to Chicago.”
