Shari Noonan |
Shari Noonan was a special guest in Dr. Krause's investments classes today. She is in Milwaukee for Dean’s Council of Excellence meeting at Marquette University.
She
has been a senior executive with Deutsche Bank since 2010. She has been a managing director
in global equities product development in New York for the German bank. Shari has served as the COO of
Global Equity Trading, as well as the COO of Deutsche Bank’s Global Equity
Derivatives business.
Shari joined Deutsche Bank from Goldman
Sachs Group, where she worked in equity swaps sales trading and helped develop
the bank’s Sigma X dark pool.
She was also a director of equity strategy for Instinet
from 1999-2003. Shari developed a block
trading product that allows direct negotiation between buy side traders on
filtered criteria – a skill she was able to utilize at her future employers. After
graduating from Marquette, she worked as an auditor and consultant with KPMG
Peat Marwick in New York.
Dr. David Krause, AIM program director said, “It was a
pleasure to have Shari join the AIM and Alternative Investment students today.
She truly is a pioneer in the area of electronic trading. Her stories about the
creation of the equity trading platforms, dark pools, and algorithmic trading were
special. She is a visionary and provided the students with excellent career advice. These are not topics that can be learned from textbooks – having a
professional like Shari in the classroom is amazing. I know the students
learned much from her visit today - as did I.”
