What does the
recognition of Marquette’s AIM program as a CFA Program Partner mean for our
students?
·
Marquette’s Applied Investment Management
program was the first undergraduate institution globally to become a CFA
Program Partner. Since 2006, AIM has been recognized as an academic leader and
champion of practical, relevant, and thought-provoking investment education.
·
We work closely with the CFA Institute and other
Program Partner universities to further our mission and vision. We embed a
significant portion of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) into our
program in order to provide the AIM students with a solid grounding in
practical investment education.
·
Students are afforded scholarships each year to
take the CFA exam at a reduced fee and a full set of CFA Level I study
materials are available to our students.
·
We also receive CFA Institute newsletter, access
to webcasts, and are invited to national and local CFA events.
What is the CFA
Institute?
The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute is the
global, not-for-profit association of investment professionals that awards the
CFA designation. It promotes the highest ethical standards and offers a range
of educational opportunities online and across the globe.
The CFA Institute aspires to serve all finance professionals
seeking education, knowledge, professional development, connection, and
inspiration. They also lead the investment profession’s thinking in the areas
of ethics, capital market integrity, and excellence of practice.
What is the CFA
Program Partner initiative?
It's a relationship between the CFA Institute and select
colleges and universities around the world that have incorporated a significant
percentage (70%) of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge into their degree
programs.
What is a CFA Program
Partner?
The CFA Institute awards CFA Program Partner status to recognize
finance degree programs which are:
(i) academically rigorous and
(ii) closely
aligned to professional practice.
In so doing, the CFA Institute recognizes
that professional and academic qualifications are complementary: both play an
important role in ensuring the success of the finance industry.
