undergraduate U.S. News rankings relatively unchanged for 2019
September 10, 2018
Marquette's College of Business is ranked in a seven-way tie at 89th, up one
spot from 90th last year.
“As an institution, we should all be proud to be recognized among the
top 100 universities in the nation,” Provost Dan Myers said. “That said,
rankings are only one way we measure our success as a university; we also look
at the many other ways we see ourselves fulfilling our mission.”
The university is also recognized among U.S. News’ college- and
program-specific rankings. In the Best Undergraduate Business Programs list, the College of Business Administration is ranked 87, up slightly from lastyear’s 91. Myers pointed out that business school rankings are based solely on
a peer assessment score.
Additionally, three business specialty programs were again ranked in the
top 25 nationally: real estate at 11th, supply chain management at 13th and
finance held steady at 24th.
The top business schools for finance prepare graduates to work in
business administration and management. Students can often specialize in areas
like investment banking and corporate finance. The top ten business schools for
finance are: University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), New York University (Stern), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Sloan), University of Michigan (Haas), University of Texas - Austin, University
of California – Berkeley (Haas), Indiana University, Caarnegie Mellon University, Boston College, and University of Virginia. Also ranked in a tie for 24th with Marquette University was the University of Wisconsin – Madison and
Loyola University Maryland.
