Friday, May 6th, Will Be a Busy Day for Marquette Students in the AIM Program

Tom Digenan
"Friday, May 6th, is going to be a very busy day for students in the AIM program,” said Dr. David Krause, AIM director. “UBS’ Tom Digenan (MU '86) CFA, CPA, will visit the AIM class at 10 am on Friday. He will talk about UBS’ approach to equity valuation and will offer students his insights on how to screen for stocks." Dr. Krause added, Tom Digenan is a true friend of our program - I believe he has visited us every year since the inception of AIM and he has helped place our students into internships and career placements. I know the students enjoy his presence in the classroom."

Tom Digenan is a Managing Director at UBS Global Asset Management in Chicago. He has been with UBS (Brinson Partners) since June 1993. Prior to UBS he was a Senior Manager in the Tax Department at KPMG in Chicago. He also obtained his Master of Science in Taxation from DePaul University in 1990.

An AIM stock pitch meeting
At 11 am, the seniors in the AIM Class of 2011 will present their final reports on the 12-month and trailing performance of the AIM Equity and AIM International Equity Funds. Joining Tom Digenan to hear and critique the presentations will be: Dr. Sarah Peck (Chair of the Department of Finance), Sean Gissal (CIO Marquette University Endowment), and Megan Zhou (Investment Analyst, Marquette University Endowment).

Dr. Krause added, “If anyone wishes to attend the presentation at 11 am, they should contact me because we’d like to have more investment professionals and alumni hear the annual report presentations.”

Dr. Krause continued, “At 1:30 pm, an AIM open house will be held for freshmen and sophomores interested in learning more about the AIM program. Information can be obtained at the following link: AIM Open House. Additionally, at 2 pm there will be 4 stock pitches by students in the Class of 2012.
