Dr. Krause's Alternative Investments and AIM Students Learned about Private Real Estate Investing from Professionals at MLG Capital

Friday, October 5, 2018, two members of MLG Capital visited Dr. Krause’s
Alternative Investments and AIM classes. Mike Slinde, Assistant Vice President-
Private Equity, and Andy
Sinclair, Vice President Private Equity, spoke to the students about MLG Capital.
MLG
Capital is a direct real estate operator and private equity real estate
investment firm located in Milwaukee. MLG Capital’s strong market knowledge has allowed them
to build a presence in multiple states, including Wisconsin, Texas and Florida.

Mike
and Andy talked about the firm’s investment strategy and addressed real estate’s
impact on a portfolio of traditional assets. They discussed the importance of real
estate diversification (with different geographic, asset class, and managers).

Capital is comprised of 6 principals with average tenure of 23 years, and 150
employees across a group of affiliated companies. Tim Donovan (Marquette AIM
2018 graduate) is an Investment Associate at MLG Capital.
