Dr. Krause and Charles Holznecht (G.K. Baum) Meeting in Kansas City This Week

Dr. David Krause, AIM program director, and Charles Holznecht (MU ’02), Mergers & Acquisitions Associate with George K. Baum Advisors, are meeting this week in Kansas City. Charles graduated summa cum laude in 2002 from Marquette University where he received his B.S. in Finance, International Business and Spanish.

Dr. Krause said, "It is a pleasure to catch up with Charles. He was an active member of the Marquette New York finance alumni group - including the 'Ins and Outs of Wall Street,' but it is nice to have him at G.K. Baum - this is an excellent firm and we look forward to increasing our exposure in the Midwest, especially in Kansas City and St. Louis."

After graduation, Charles gained four years of valuable experience with General Electric in corporate finance (including their corporate audit staff and financial management program). Dr. Krause added, “Charles and I share the same background since my first position following graduation was also with General Electric in their highly-regarded financial management program. We both agree this was excellent experience and shaped our knowledge of corporate finance. Anyone who went through GE's FMP knows about its rigor and thoroughness.”

Following two years with the Bank of America’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group in New York City, Charles joined G.K. Baum in Kansas City as a M&A generalist in 2008. He provides provides support in the evaluation and execution of mergers, acquisitions, sales, divestitures and financings.
