AIM Class of 2012 adds 3 stocks to the portfolio

Following their first set of AIM equity presentations, the students in the Class of 2012 voted to add three stocks to the AIM small cap equity and international equity funds. Dr. Krause, AIM program director, said, "The first round of AIM presentations was well received by the professionals at Heartland Funds. I was pleased with the quality of the write-ups and oral presentations. The maiden voyage of the AIM Class of 2012 was a success."


Added to the AIM International Equity Fund was:

WuXi Pharma Tech (Cayman) Inc. [Ticker: WX].
Bronson Wetsch presented the stock to the AIM students and a group of professionals at Heartland Advisors last Friday. Wuxi PharmaTech (Cayman) Inc., through its subsidiaries, primarily engages in providing laboratory and manufacturing services to support research and development for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.


Added to the AIM Small Cap Equity Fund were the following:

American Campus Communities, Inc. [Ticker: ACC].
Jacob Bear presented ACC before the AIM students and Heartland Advisors. American Campus Communities (ACC) operates as a REIT with a concentration in high quality campus housing. With locations in thirty US states and two Canadian provinces and with 93,800 beds in 31,700 units, ACC is one of the largest owners, managers and developers of student housing properties.




Sensient Technologies Corporation [SXT].
Tedd Linn pitch Sensient to the AIM class and the investment experts at Heartland last week.  SXT, a Milwaukee-based company, manufactures and markets colors, flavors, and fragrances worldwide. Its products include flavors, flavor enhancers, and bionutrients; fragrances and aroma chemicals; dehydrated vegetables and other food ingredients; natural and synthetic food and beverage colors; cosmetic and pharmaceutical colors and additives; and technical colors, inkjet colors and inks, and specialty dyes and pigments.
