On Friday, November 9, 2018, John Malooly, CFA, paid his annual visit to Marquette’s AIM program.

For over a decade, John Malooly, a Marquette graduate and portfolio manager at Wasatch Advisors, has addressed the students in the AIM program

On Friday, November 9th, John Malooly, CFA, paid his annual visit to Marquette’s AIM program. This is John’s 11th year returning to his alma mater to address the students in the program.

He also spoke to students in Marquette’s Financial Management Association – the student-organized finance club.

John graduated from Marquette’s College of Business Administration in 1990 and is now in his 20thyear at Wasatch Advisors, which is located in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is the Lead Portfolio Manager for the Wasatch Ultra Growth Fund. John is also an analyst and co-PM on other Wasatch funds.  


Mr. Malooly has been a Portfolio Manager for the Wasatch Ultra Growth Fund since 2012.  He was previously a Portfolio Manager for the Wasatch Micro Cap Value Fund.  He joined Wasatch Advisors in 1997 as a Research Analyst on the Small Cap Growth Fund.  From 1999 to 2003, he worked as a Senior Research Analyst on the Micro Cap Fund.

 
John is a Wisconsin native from the Green Bay area who enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family. Dr. Krause said, “John is a loyal friend of the AIM program and an excellent resource. 



Wasatch’s approach to fundamental bottom-up analysis is consistent with what our students learn. His examples help reinforce the concepts and approach to investment analysis we employ in the AIM program. John has provided excellent internship experiences for our students over the years and it is always great to have John back on campus again.”
