Audience Guidelines for the CFA Investment Research Challenge
The core organizational mission of CFA Institute is “to lead the investment profession globally by setting the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence.” Please help us support this mission by encouraging professional and appropriate behavior.
Etiquette
Audience members should avoid any behavior that is distracting to the presenters or judges. As such, we ask that audience members plan to be in the presentation rooms at least 15 minutes before the event start time. Only authorized staff will be admitted to presentation rooms once the presentations begin. Additionally, all mobile devices should be powered off before the event. No food or drink, except water, is allowed in the presentation rooms.
Ethical Behavior
After each presentation, the judges will ask the presenting team a series of questions based on their presentation. We ask that audience members keep these questions confidential until the end of the entire competition. Disclosing these questions to any team that has not yet presented gives that team an unfair advantage. Any audience member engaging in such behavior will be asked to leave.
Dress Code
We request that all attendees dress in business attire.
